POC Receptor Backcountry MIPS Helmet
The POC Receptor Backcountry Helmet has been developed for multidisciplinary activities including ski and snow.
The Receptor+ is designed for use on snow, bike, skateboard, or in water and has been certified by the appropriate authorities for all three respective environments.
To keep you warm during winter sports, the helmet has padding inserts, which can be removed in the summer to allow full ventilation.
Utilizing POC’s patent-pending ballistic Aramid penetration barrier, merging the two technologies of in-mold helmets and traditional hard-shell helmets, and using a unique double-shell system (VDSAP), POC succeeded in meeting the requirements of all 3 authorities.
Another requirement was to ensure that when used in water, the liner would not soak up the liquid and become heavy and thereby less effective. To overcome this, POC have used expanded polypropylene, which is able to withstand multiple impacts and guarantees that the helmet will retain the same weight regardless of where it is worn.
