This is the MIPS version of the Bern Watts helmet offering an increased level of protection over the regular version thanks to the MIPS System. Essentially the MIPS sytem allows the helmet shell to slip slightly so your head doesn’t hold against the helmet and create further damage. The Watts has been around for a while now and proves season after season to be one of Bern’s most popular models. Successor to Bern’s original visor lid “the Baker”, the Watts combines a visor with top and back vents to provide a balance of airflow and style with top and rear venting. Sun, rain and snow – you name it – the Watts defends against it. The lightweight EPS hard foam meets EN1078 and EN 1077B standards for snow and ski, CPSC and EN 1078 standards for bike and skate. The Bern Watts helmet can be used all season with the summer liners and drop in audio chips for audio too (Sold separately). The Watts also uses an excellent BOA liner with BOA system closure to ensure you get the perfect fit by turning the dial on the back of the helmet which tightens the liner to your head.
